Sasha Krane - Biography
Sasha Krane was born in New York City and raised with a passion for the theatre. The nephew of Lee Strasberg (the legendary acting teacher), he was trained as a Method actor from a very early age. Eventually, Sasha moved to Los Angeles and began writing and directing stage-plays. Soon after the production of his first work "Leftover Hearts" in the Marilyn Monroe Theatre, he began to assist Sally Kirkland in her acting class at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. During this time, Sasha made the transition from theatre to film and began to write and direct a number of shorts. One of his films "A Little Death" won the 2004 New York International Independent Film and Video Festival for Best Romantic short. Since that time, Sasha has been teaching his own camera acting classes and works as the Strasberg Institute's resident director.
