Stephanie Claire Smith - Biography

Hello there... firstly, thanks for visiting my website! I thought I'd add an 'about me' section to my website because I have found in the past that a lot of my followers like to learn more and more about me, so here goes.My full name is Stephanie Claire Smith (most people are under the assumption that it's Steph-Claire, but I can assure you that Claire is just my middle name.) I'm proudly born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. I have two very loving parents, one older brother, and two family dogs. Our family is super close, and I am so lucky to have such a supportive group of people in my life. Dad was actually the one who always kept modelling in my mind... I did it for a few years when I was a kid and then started up again after finishing high school. I'd also like to shout out to my Nanna Smith, who I know is looking down on me... she passed away just when my modelling career began, and I know she would be so proud of everything I have done since. Nanna was the one who would cut out every single image of me that was ever printed in any catalog when I was a kid, all the way up until she passed away. I have her album she kept of my cut outs and it just inspires me to go that bit further and aim higher in my career to make her proud. In school I was quite a confident, loud, annoying, sporty girl. I was (and still am) known for making comments or jokes that would end up making people laugh 'at' me more often than 'with' me... but it didn't bother me, as long as I was making them laugh. Some other things that I used to love and really still do, are; singing, crafts, and acting like a child... I honestly dream of being on play school one day. I adore anything and everything Disney, particularly Peter Pan. I think if I could have any superpower in the world it would be to fly. When I was growing up my family and I would go to the Murray River (my favourite place in the world) for camping trips on school holidays. I was never a beach person, I find sand annoying and salt water irritating... throw me in a freshwater river or a lake any day. About 9 years ago my family bought property on the Murray River, and honestly that was one of the best things we ever did. I can head up every weekend if I want to, and for the first 3 years or so of owning the property thats what we did. This is the part where I tell you how I met Josh. On the first weekend up at our new holiday house I went horse riding and met this younger girl and got chatting. She mentioned that she was from Melbourne and that her family had just bought a place up there too, and invited me over after the ride. Thats when I met Josh, that younger girl was Bailey, my mini me, Josh's little sister. The first thing I did when I met the whole family was text my two best mates saying "Oh my God I can't wait to bring you guys up here, I have the hottest neighbour!" (that neighbour being Josh) Our families very quickly became very close friends, our dads still nearly go up every weekend to this day. So I had a crush on Josh since the day I met him basically, but nothing happened until we were both single about 3 years ago. Its worked perfectly ever since. Sorry to those of you who found that story a little draining, but I'm constantly asked how we met so I had to chuck it in there.Throughout high school we were always asked the big question "what do you want to do when you finish school", for me this was hard to answer. I had so many different interests... a part of me wanted to become a teacher, another part of me wanted to do something with animals, another part of me wanted to be a personal trainer, and another part of me secretly wanted to be a singer. All very different things... but on the inside I always wanted to get back into modelling. People told me it was a dead end job, that it won't last long at all, that it will get me nowhere, that I must be so vain to want to do that... but after all the amazing experiences I've had with travel and meeting people in my career, I really do not regret starting it at all. Im at a point in my life where I have so many incredible opportunities because of modelling. Also I'm so happy, and wouldn't want to be doing anything else right now. Anyway, I finished high school and got straight into modelling. I was lucky to be signed with Chadwicks and picked up a number of regular clients that kept me busy. I then fell in love with the lifestyle. As mentioned before, I was a very sporty child, but I also really made the most of my fast metabolism back in the day! Up until about 3 years ago I would eat and drink just about anything and everything, and was very unhealthy in that sense. My metabolism slowing down may have been what got me into healthy eating, but now I'm hooked. I'm so interested in nutrition, and even if I still had my super fast metabolism, I would still eat clean. Thats not to say I don't treat myself, I definitely think its important to keep it balanced. I feel so much more energised, my skins clearer, I'm much more confident and happy when I'm eating healthy. I work super hard for the way I look. Genetics always plays it's part, but in the end, if I was eating badly still and wasn't exercising like I do, I wouldn't look like I do now. I have no particular exercise routine, which is why I never have answered those of you who always ask for one. Its all about finding whats best for you and your body type. I love mixing it up. I do one HIIT PT session a week where I am made to sweat and puff, around 3 Pilates classes (my favourite), about 3-5 long power walks (always depends on how busy I am) and then I hit the gym when I feel like it and do a mixture of things there.About 2 years ago was when my Instagram following started to grow. I found that a lot of fitness inspiration pages were reposting my images and it just snowballed from there. Its crazy to me... having over half a million people following my life haha, but it really is incredible, and it means the world to me to be inspiring younger girls to stick to their dreams and most importantly always be yourself. I have some pretty big goals and ambitions in mind for the future, and I think thats the only way to be. Dreams are important because without them we would never be driven to succeed in anything. I want to thank my family and friends for always being there for me and being so supportive. Thank you to everyone else for all the lovely comments you leave on my photos, and for following my journey so far.
