Anastasia Shirley is a makeup artist. Though she has worked on some classic films, but is mostly known as the longtime wife of Scottish actor Robert Carlyle. She is sometimes referred to as Anastasia Carlyle.
Robert Carlyle is a Scottish actor. His film work includes Trainspotting (1996) and its sequel (2017), The Full Monty (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), and Angela's Ashes (1999). Carlyle has been married to make-up artist Anastasia Shirley since 1997.[18] They have three children: Ava (born 2002), Harvey (born 2004), and Pearce Joseph (born 2006). The family lives in Glasgow.
Shirley first met current husband Robert Carlyle on the set of Hamish Macbeth, where he was playing the title character. Robert became enamored with her, and soon began making it a point to find her on set and talk to her. Shirley, also from Scotland, loved the authenticity Carlyle brought to his roles, and found herself mesmerized by his performances. Both of them seemed to understand each other in a way that no other lovers had, and eventually, Carlyle proposed. After dating for four years, the two got married on 28th December 1998.
