Dang Minh Thu - Biography
Đặng Minh Thu is a beauty pageant contestant who represented Vietnam in Miss World 2007 in China. She is former Miss Vietnam Sea 2006 and 2nd runner-up Miss World Vietnamese 2007.
Dang Minh Thu was born in 1988 in Nam Dinh. Thu's parents lived in Russia for many years. Her father was a bodyguard, her mother opened a kiosk. At the age of 3, Thu moved to Russia to live with her parents and at the age of 7, she went back to live with her grandmother in Nam Dinh City. Thu lives with her parents, a younger brother Thu, 16 years old in Hanoi. She is studying the first year in English Department - Hanoi Open University.
After winning the title of Miss Sea in Hai Phong, Dang Minh Thu continued to participate in the Miss Vietnam World Contest 2007 in Nha Trang and won runner-up 2nd, after Ngo Phuong Lan and Teresa Sam. She was chosen as the representative of Vietnam to attend Miss World 2007 in Sanya, China after Miss Ngo Phuong Lan refused on the grounds that she was busy studying. Dang Minh Thu did not reach the semi-finals of the contest. Miss World 2007 is host Miss Zhang Zilin.
