Daniel Christopher Allison - Biography
Daniel C. Allison, MD, FACS, MBA is a member of Cedars-Sinai’s Orthopaedic Center. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and has expertise in musculoskeletal oncology, joint reconstruction and anterior hip replacement.Dr. Allison is a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, as well as a member of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society and the California Orthopedic Association.In addition to publishing several papers in peer reviewed journals, Dr. Allison has co-authored two book chapters relating to orthopedic surgery and has presented numerous papers and abstracts relating to orthopedic conditions at orthopedic society meetings. He served on the board of the Global Journal Society.After earning a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, cum laude and with honors, from Southern Methodist University in Texas, Dr. Allison enrolled in a combined medical and business administration program, where he earned his master’s of business administration degree at Rice University Graduate School of Management and his medical degree, with honors, at Baylor College of Medicine. His postgraduate training at the University of Southern California (USC) included a combined orthopedic and general surgery internship, an orthopedic surgery residency and a musculoskeletal oncology fellowship.Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Allison was Assistant Director of the USC Center for Orthopaedic Oncology at the USC Norris Cancer Hospital. He also served as Assistant Director of the Southern California Permanente Medical Group’s division of Orthopaedic Oncology.
