Max Delys - Biography
Max Delys was a French actor and swimmer who was born on July 11, 1951. As an interpreter of fotoromanzi he worked mainly for the launch, with whom he collaborated for ten years - from 1973 to 1983 - interpreting three hundred and fifty stories.
His career as a film actor developed in Italy - where he moved in the late sixties - from 1969 to 1982 and was interrupted by premature death. His filmography consists of a dozen titles. Delys arrived in Italy in 1968, in the company of his girlfriend Dominique Sanda, with whom he went to live in Trastevere. At the age of fifteen he had abandoned a possible sports career in swimming after he was ranked second in the French national freestyle championships in the hundred meters.
In preparation for his acting business, he had gone to New York to study at the Actors Studio. His first non-accredited film experience was in La monaca di Monza, directed by Eriprando Visconti. He died on May 30, 1983, only 31 years old due to a serious illness.
