Pierre Galante was a writer who was born on November 22, 1909. Pierre Galante worked as a journalist for several newspapers and magazines: The Epoch, The Day, The Echo of Paris, The Hope of Nice, The Intransigeant. He was also secretary general at Paris Match.
He was a writer, known for Le soleil a toujours raison (1943), Le destin s'amuse (1946) and Freedom Fighter (1988). He is the author of about ten books, sometimes written in collaboration, portraits of personalities or documents of contemporary history.
On April 2 , 1955, he married the American actress Olivia de Havilland with whom he had a daughter, Gisèle, born in 1956. The couple divorced in 1979.
