Ruth Pesky - Biography
She was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School. During WWII, she served as a Wave in the United States Navy with the rank of Machinist Mate 1st Class. While stationed at Gordon Field Naval Air Base in Atlanta, where her assignment included starting airplane engines, she met Mr. Pesky. Mrs. Pesky was a faithful “Baseball Wife” who enjoyed sharing her love of the game with the entire Boston Red Sox Family. Her Husband, the beloved Johnny Pesky, currently serves as Special Assignment Instructor for the Boston Red Sox.
