Sarina Taylor - Biography
Sarina was born in a small town in South Africa and at the age of 12 moved to Johannesburg in order to attend the National School of the Arts where she was accepted into their ballet programme. She moved into the Drama programme for the final two years of her schooling. Upon leaving the arts school, Sarina turned her hand to studying Make Up Artistry and Theatre Crafts at what is now known as The Tshwane University Of Technology in Pretoria. Here she specialised in Prosthetics and special effects, prop making and set design.She then went on to dance professionally for many years in a number of theatrical productions worldwide.Having always had a passion for performing, in 2013, Sarina successfully moved into the realm of film, both as an actress and producer. The past two years have seen Sarina perform in Solitary, Tomorrow, A Christmas Carol, and Unborn Justice. Sarina co-produced the award winning British drama Solitary with Katharine Lee McEwan. Since making its festival debut in January 2015, Solitary has received twelve awards and thirteen nominations, including eight Best Feature wins, two Best Screenplay wins and two Best Actor/Actress wins. It was the opening night film of both the Chelsea Film Festival in New York and the London Independent Film Festival.
