Vanessa Vadim was born on September 28, 1968 in Paris, France. She is a director and cinematographer, known for The Quilts of Gee's Bend, The Last Party (1993) and The 9th Annual Vira Awards (1989). Vadim was arrested in October 1989 in New York on charges of obstructing governmental administration, loitering for the purpose of purchasing drugs and disorderly conduct. Police said the man she was with was carrying two glassine envelopes of heroin.
She has been married to Paul Waggoner since June 12, 2010. Paul Waggoner is the lead guitarist of American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me. He formerly played guitar in the metalcore band, Prayer for Cleansing. He played live guitar as needed for Lamb Of God between 2010 and 2014. Waggoner is vegan and straight edge.
