Anne Marie Fahey - Biography
Murder Victim. She was Delaware Governor Thomas Carper's scheduling secretary. She had been having an affair with Thomas Capano, who was married and the father of four daughters. When she tried to end the affair, Capano shot her in the head, placed her body in a cooler and dumped it in the ocean off Mako Island in Southern New Jersey. Capano was convicted of first degree murder in January, 1999 when the cooler was found by a fisherman. He was subsequently sentenced to death by lethal injection. Her body was never found. Ms. Fahey and her story were the subject of Ann Rule's bestseller, "And Never Let Her Go."
