Victoria Massey - Biography
Dublin born mezzo-soprano / contralto Victoria Massey began her musical studies at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin with Deirdre Grier-Delaney and pianist Trudi Carberry. In 1994, she was awarded vocal finalist of the Lombard and Ulster Bursary Award, which was broadcast by RTE. Between 1995 and 1999, Victoria furthered her vocal studies at the Hochschule Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria with Lilian Sukis and accompanist Alessandro Misciasci. There she also trained under the Lieder specialist Hartmut Höll. In 2004, Victoria won the 1st prize at the C.A Seghizzi International Singing Competition in Gorizia, Italy. Recently, she was awarded 1st class honours in the Masters in Music (Performance) from DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama.
